Daterat den 2020-05-25

21grams uses cookies and similar analytics tools to help our website and apps work as well as possible and to understand on a general level how our users and visitors interact with our services. The information collected is anonymized and 21grams does not collect any personal data about you through cookies or other analytics tools.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that websites you visit may place on your computer to remember you and your visit in various ways and to help improve your experience and functionality.

There are also similar technologies to analyze how you use the apps you choose to download, which can similarly contribute to a better user experience for you.

According to the Electronic Communications Act (2003:389), all visitors to a website must be informed about what cookies are used for. Visitors must also give their consent before certain types of cookies are used. Cookies are used on most websites and are not harmful to your computer. More information is available at Post- och Telestyrelsen.

For what purpose do 21grams use cookies and other analytics tools?

21grams uses cookies and other analytics tools to help our website and apps work as well as possible, such as remembering your settings and choices in the service and for troubleshooting purposes. Cookies and other analytics also give us information about how you use the Services, such as whether you clicked a particular button or visited a particular page, so that we can continually improve the user experience for you.

21grams’ use of cookies on 21grams.se and 21grams.com

Persistent cookies
This cookie saves a file on your computer for a longer period of time. It is used, for example, to enable the website to recognise you and the choices and settings you have made on a previous visit.

Session cookies
When you visit 21grams.se or 21grams.com, the session cookie is temporarily stored in your computer’s memory to, for example, keep track of the language you have chosen. Session cookies are therefore not stored for a long period of time and disappear immediately when you close your browser.

Third party cookies
21grams uses Google Analytics, which is a so-called third-party cookie from Google. These cookies provide 21grams with information on a general level about how you as a visitor use the website, so that 21grams can constantly improve the user experience for you. The information collected consists of your interactions with the service, such as visiting a particular page or clicking on a particular button. 21grams has set up Google Analytics so that the tool anonymises the information stored by Google. This is done by Google Analytics truncating (removing) the last digits of the visitors’ IP address.

Take a stand on cookies

21grams always obtains your consent before we use cookies or other analytics tools to collect information about your use of our website and apps.

If you choose not to provide your consent, 21grams will only use cookies or analytics tools that are necessary to provide 21grams services to you, including remembering whether you have said yes or no to cookies. You can clear and disable cookies yourself in your browser. You can also set your browser to warn you each time the website tries to place a cookie on your device. Some browsers (such as Google’s “Chrome”) allow you to use a so-called “incognito” mode where the browser automatically deletes all cookies when you close it.

If you as an internet user specifically want to avoid being analysed by Google Analytics, Google itself provides the following service: Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Please note that blocking cookies may result in you not being able to access all pages and features of the 21grams website and may impair your user experience.

In 21gram’s apps, you can choose whether to share information about how you interact with the app with our developers by turning Google Analytics on or off in the app settings.
